中山市中医院(广州中医药大学附属中山中医院、广州中医药大学中山临床医学院)创建于1957年,是一所集医疗、教学、科研、预防保健于一体的综合性中医医院,1993年成为国家首批三级甲等中医院、全国示范中医院。医院先后获得世界卫生组织健康医院、全国卫生健康系统先进集体、全国博士后科研工作站、全国中医药文化建设先进单位、国家中医住院医师规范化培训优秀基地、国家卫生健康委临床科室标杆党支部、国家智慧中医医院试点项目建设单位、全国平安医院建设表现突出集体、广东省中医名院、广东省文明单位、广东省中医药强省建设先进单位、广东省先进基层党组织、中山市改革攻坚先进集体等荣誉称号。2023年国家三级公立中医医院绩效考核排名位列全国前5%(1-31名),获评最高等级A+级。2021-2023年度,医院连续三年学科建设水平全省中医系统排名第二,稳居全省前列。
医院是中山市综合实力最强的三级甲等医院之一,占地262亩,总建筑面积25万平方米,分设2个门诊部、46个临床科室以及53个病区,开放床位2000多张。拥有PET-CT、直线加速器、3.0T核磁共振、256层螺旋CT、 数字化平板血管造影系统、飞秒激光角膜屈光治疗机、双板DR、高档彩超、全自动生化流水线等价值近10亿元的医疗设备。现有工作人员2700余人,其中高级职称600余人。
重点专科,特色鲜明。医院拥有一批中医特色鲜明、临床疗效显著的重点专(学)科群,其中国家临床重点专科2个、国家中医药管理局重点专科4个、国家中医优势专科5个、广东省中医药局重点专科31个、中山市重点专科(含中医优势专科)33个。在此基础上,医院积极引进ECMO(体外膜肺氧合)、体外循环下心脏直视手术等高尖技术,通过了国家级胸痛中心、高级卒中中心、房颤中心、心衰中心、癫痫中心、血栓防治中心及广东省二级创伤中心认证,创建了心脑血管病康复技术全国示范基地、市中西医结合创伤骨科治疗中心,获批成为中国创伤救治联盟创伤中心建设单位、急性上消化道出血急诊快速通道救治基地、珠江西岸铥激光培训基地以及中山市中医紧急医学救援基地,全面提升了医院急危重病患者的抢救实力,医院区域影响力日益扩大。
医研融合、教学相长。医院2024年正式成为广州中医药大学中山临床医学院,致力打造成为一所融汇中西、重视临床实践教学,实现医教研协同发展的创新型临床医学院。医院充分发挥医教研融合优势,依托全国博士后科研工作站、博士后流动工作站、临床技能培训中心等科研学术平台,开展博士后、博士、硕士、本科以及住院医师规范化培训等多层次的人才培养和临床科研工作。现有博士生导师6人、硕士生导师79人,教授78人,副教授31人。近5年来,我院获得各级科研立项近700项,其中获得国家自然科学基金4项,中国博士后科学基金2项,国家中医药管理局课题1项,广东省自然科学基金6项(重点项目1项),省厅级立项173项。获授权专利227项,其中发明专利19项,实用新型203项,外观专利5项。
强化内涵,名医辈出。医院继承和发扬中医药特色,强化中医内涵建设,中医名家辈出。拥有全国老中医药专家学术经验继承指导老师2名,享受国务院政府特殊津贴专家2名,全国中医专科名专家1名,广东省名中医9名,中山市名中医专家传承工作室指导老师22名,中山市老药工传承工作室指导老师2名;柔性引进国医大师2名,岐黄学者4名,青年岐黄学者1名,全国名中医1名。医院注重名老中医学术思想和临床经验的继承工作,高标准建设中山市王琦国医大师传承创新中心、2个全国名老中医药专家传承工作室、3个广东省名中医传承工作室及“毫火针传承工作”室,先后开展五批国家级和省级老中医药专家、名中医专家学术经验继承工作,培养了一大批中医临床特色技术传承骨干人才、中药特色技术传承人才及中医临床优秀人才,为中医药高层次人才的培养提供了保障。
中医龙头,提升基层。医院作为中山市中医药的龙头,承担了区域中医预防保健、中医药适宜技术推广运用工作指导、社区中医药人员培训及考核评价等任务,牵头各镇区医院、社区卫生服务中心,成立了中山市治未病联盟,有力提升了中山市基层中医药服务能力,得到了省卫健委、省中医药局领导的高度赞誉,医院治未病中心建设的成功经验也成为了全省中医医疗机构治未病工作的标杆,医院治未病服务被广东省中医药局评为5A级(最高级别)。
文以载道,以文化人。医院将整体形象与诊疗环境作为展示和传播中医药文化的载体。医院建筑风格鲜明,岭南建筑风貌堪称“中山一景”,院内香山药用植物园、中医文化广场、修身文化长廊等具有浓郁的中医药文化气息。建有中山市中医药文化馆,分设“中国中医”“地方中医”“数字中医”“中药世界”4大主题展示体验区,以传统中医文化为根据,深度结合数字化体验,如虚拟VR采药、虚拟诊治、虚拟药房等,大大增强了趣味性和体验感。自2010年建馆以来,中医药文化馆累计接待了包括欧美、港澳台的海内外游客超34万人次,荣获全国中医药文化宣传教育基地、广东省中医药文化养生旅游示范基地、广东省卫生计生宣传示范基地、广东省科普教育基地、广东省中医药文化国际传播建设单位、中山市科普教育基地、中山市A级共享文化馆等称号。

Brief Introduction to Zhongshan Hospital of Traditional Chinese Medicine
Zhongshan Hospital of Traditional Chinese Medicine (also known as Zhongshan Hospital of Traditional Chinese Medicine Affiliated to Guangzhou University of Chinese Medicine and The Tenth (Zhongshan) School of Clinical Medicine of Guangzhou University of Chinese Medicine) was founded in 1957. It is a comprehensive Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) hospital integrating medical treatment, teaching, scientific research, prevention and health care. In 1993, it became one of the first national Grade 3-A TCM hospitals and a national demonstration TCM hospital in China. The hospital has successively won honorary titles such as WHO Health-promoting Hospital, Advanced Group of the National Health System, National Postdoctoral Scientific Research Workstation, Advanced Unit of National TCM Culture Construction, National Excellent Base for Standardized Training of Traditional Chinese Medicine Residents, Pilot Construction Unit of National Smart TCM Hospital, Outstanding Group in National Safe Hospital Construction, Guangdong Provincial Famous TCM Hospital, Guangdong Provincial Civilized Unit, Advanced Unit for the Construction of a Strong TCM Province in Guangdong, and Advanced Group for Reform and Tackling Key Tasks in Zhongshan City. In 2023, it ranked among the top 5% (1st - 31st) in the performance evaluation of national Grade 3 public TCM hospitals and was awarded the highest grade A+. From 2021 to 2023, the hospital ranked second in the discipline construction level among the TCM system in Guangdong Province for three consecutive years, firmly maintaining a leading position in the province.
As one of the most comprehensive Grade 3-A hospitals in Zhongshan City, the hospital spans a total construction area of 250,000 square meters. It houses 2 outpatient departments, 46 clinical departments, 53 inpatient areas, and offers more than 2,000 beds. The hospital is equipped with nearly 1 billion yuan worth of advanced medical technology, including PET-CT, linear accelerators, 3.0T MRI, 256-slice CT, digital flat-panel angiography systems, femtosecond laser for corneal refractive surgery, dual-panel DR, high-end color Doppler ultrasound, and a fully automated biochemical assembly line. The hospital employs over 2,700 staff members, with more than 600 holding senior professional titles.
The hospital excels in several specialized fields, particularly in TCM, where it boasts national and provincial recognition. It is home to two national key clinical specialties, four specialties designated by the National Administration of Traditional Chinese Medicine (NATCM), five national TCM advantage specialties, 31 specialties recognized by the Guangdong Provincial Administration of TCM, and 33 specialties in Zhongshan City, including TCM advantage specialties. In addition to its strong foundation in TCM, the hospital has introduced cutting-edge technologies such as ECMO (Extracorporeal Membrane Oxygenation) and open-heart surgery under cardiopulmonary bypass. It has received certification for several specialized centers, including the National Chest Pain Center, Advanced Stroke Center, Atrial Fibrillation Center, Heart Failure Center, Epilepsy Center, Thrombosis Prevention and Treatment Center, and Guangdong Provincial Level 2 Trauma Center. The hospital is also a national demonstration base for cardiovascular and cerebrovascular disease rehabilitation and the Zhongshan Municipal Integrated TCM and Western Medicine Trauma and Orthopedics Treatment Center. These advancements have significantly enhanced the hospital’s ability to treat critically ill patients and have solidified its growing influence in the region.
Committed to integrating clinical care with research and education, the hospital became the Zhongshan Hospital of Traditional Chinese Medicine Affiliated to Guangzhou University of Chinese Medicine in 2024. This collaboration aims to create an innovative clinical medical institution that combines Chinese and western medicine, prioritizes clinical teaching, and fosters coordinated development across medical care, teaching, and research. The hospital supports multi-level talent development through postdoctoral, doctoral, master’s, undergraduate programs, and residency training. It also hosts research platforms such as the National Postdoctoral Scientific Research Workstation, Postdoctoral Mobile Station, and Clinical Skills Training Center. The hospital is home to 6 doctoral supervisors, 79 master’s supervisors, 78 professors, and 31 associate professors. In the past five years, the hospital has secured approximately 700 research projects. These include 4 projects funded by the National Natural Science Foundation of China, 2 by the China Postdoctoral Science Foundation, 1 project from the State Administration of Traditional Chinese Medicine, 6 projects supported by the Natural Science Foundation of Guangdong Province (including 1 key project), and 173 projects at the provincial and departmental levels. The hospital has been granted 227 patents, comprising 19 invention patents, 203 utility model patents, and 5 design patents. Over the years, it has won more than 100 provincial and municipal science and technology awards and secured over 582 scientific research projects, including national and provincial-level initiatives. Additionally, it has been granted 126 national patents, including 11 invention patents, 110 utility model patents, and 5 design patents.
The hospital places significant emphasis on the cultivation of distinguished medical professionals and the advancement of TCM. It has fostered a dynamic and scholarly TCM environment, supported by two national mentors for the inheritance of academic experience from senior TCM experts, two recipients of the State Council’s Special Government Allowance, one nationally recognized TCM specialist, and a cohort of other prominent TCM practitioners. Through flexible talent collaboration mechanisms, the hospital has successfully introduced two National TCM Masters, four Qihuang Scholars, and one Young Qihuang Scholar.
In pursuit of preserving and promoting TCM heritage and innovation, the hospital has established high-caliber platforms for knowledge transmission, including the Zhongshan Wang Qi National TCM Master Inheritance and Innovation Center, two National Inheritance Studios for Veteran TCM Experts, three Guangdong Provincial Inheritance Studios for Famous TCM Doctors, and the Filiform Fire Needle Inheritance Studio. These initiatives are systematically designed to inherit the clinical expertise, academic thought, and innovative techniques of senior TCM masters, while cultivating a new generation of high-caliber professionals in TCM theory, practice, and specialized therapies.
As the leading TCM hospital in Zhongshan City, the hospital plays a pivotal role in promoting regional TCM preventive healthcare, advancing the application of appropriate TCM technologies, and training local healthcare personnel. It was instrumental in establishing the Zhongshan Preventive Treatment of Diseases Alliance, a collaboration with hospitals and community health centers across various districts, significantly improving primary TCM services in the city. The hospital's success in preventive care has garnered praise from leaders in the Guangdong Provincial Health Commission and the Guangdong Provincial Administration of TCM. Its Preventive Treatment of Diseases Center has become a model for similar initiatives across the province and has earned a Grade 5A rating from the Guangdong Provincial Administration of TCM.
The hospital also promotes TCM culture through various media and educational initiatives. Its unique architecture, blending Lingnan style with a strong TCM cultural atmosphere, has earned it recognition as "a scenic spot in Zhongshan." Notable cultural spaces include the TCM Herb Garden, TCM Culture Square, and the Self-Cultivation Culture Corridor. The hospital has built the Zhongshan TCM Culture Museum, which showcases four themed exhibition areas: "Chinese TCM," "Local TCM," "Digital TCM," and "TCM World." The museum integrates digital experiences, such as virtual reality herbal collections and diagnosis tools, making TCM culture more accessible and engaging. Since its establishment in 2010, the TCM Culture Museum has received over 340,000 domestic and overseas tourists, including those from Europe, America, Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan.
